Customer stories
Experts in ostomy care
When it comes to ostomy care, we believe in Healthy Bonds - designed for leak protection and skin health. We understand how important it is to keep the skin around the stoma healthy, so the bond with their ostomy system stays secure and comfortable.
That's why Convatec created Mouldable Technology, a skin barrier technology that is one of our many unique products - after a 2 month follow up, 95% of patients who started with a Convatec Mouldable Baseplate had healthy skin1.
Getting off to a healthy start, gives people a better relationship with their stoma, and their body. This, in turn, leads to stronger and healthier relationships with the people around them.
Amcare by Convatec offers a broad range of ostomy pouches and systems, designed to meet different customer needs. By helping customers find the right ostomy products, and helping them customize the fit, we can help allay worries about leakage and skin irritation, so they can get on with living.
Specialists in continence care
When it comes to continence care, we recognise that not all intermittent catheters are created equal. We have seen how traditional hydrophilic coated catheters can stick, and damage the delicate urethra. Irritation and damage to the soft urethral tissue can allow bacteria to colonize the space created2,3 potentially causing discomfort and bleeding and leading to a higher chance of getting UTIs.4,5
Convatec’s GentleCath™ with FeelClean Technology™ is different. Introducing the next generation of hydrophilic intermittent catheters, The slippery hydrophilic properties are integrated inside the catheter itself rather than having a sticky coating.
Independent research at Queen’s University Belfast has proven that these catheters do not stick, protecting the delicate urethra,4 the body's first line of defence against UTIs.6
Fewer UTIs means fewer returning patients and the potential for cost savings.
